The following formula is used to calculate the current of a 3-phase electric motor:
For a 3-phase supply with power rating in kilowatt (kW):
I = P . 1000 / √3 . V . cos(φ) . η
For a 1-phase supply with power rating in kilowatt (kW):
I = P .1000 / V . cos(φ) . η
