Three main technologies are used by Gefran when manufacturing pressure sensors: thick film on steel, piezoresistive on silicon on sapphire and bonded strain gauge. Reliable, accurate and flexible technologies in terms of application and performance. Outside of the traditional technology with internal measuring chamber, with optional pressure snubber against pressure peaks, Gefran also provides flush diaphgram pressure sensors with direct mechanical measurement using a solid 17-4 PH stainless steel membrane. These transducers are specifically designed for measuring pressures of highly dense fluids or substances with high viscosity like oils, rubbers, chemical products, etc. Such applications would make measurements difficult from sensors with internal measuring chamber. Additionally, our product range includes melt transmitters for high temperatures and pressure sensor with ATEX certification, which are ideal for applications in potentially explosive areas. The SIL2 Machine Safety certification, PLd, confirms its reliability but also satisfies the current Machine Safety directives. EU certifications such as CE, CuLUs, PESO, IECEx FM and PAC further complete the set.
