General Purpose motors are available in a wide variety of construction enclosures from industrial steel band open designs to harsh applications requiring totally enclosed cast iron designs in both single and three phase. Designed for "general purpose" use means that these motors can be used in many applications. The Super E Motors (EM & CEM) provide NEMA Premium efficiency and are designed as standard to be inverter ready with wide variable torque speed ranges.

7. Direct Drive Cooling Tower Motors

The RPM AC™ synchronous PM motor uses laminated finned frame construction to provide a highly efficient power dense package with flange mounting dimensions that can replace the right angle gearbox and jack shaft installation in many conventional cooling towers. This same technology is offered in conventional, yet power dense, foot mounted designs that can replace the belt and sheave application where more vertical mounting space is available. Derived from one of the toughest motor platforms used in the most demanding industrial applications, the RPM AC motor is the right solution for operation inside the tower’s hot and humid environment.

8. Large AC Induction Motors

Large ac induction motors extend up to 30,000 HP in a variety of enclosures including TEFC, TEAAC, TEWAC, ODP, WPI, WPII, etc., with both inverter duty and sine wave operation designs available. Pole counts range from 2 pole to 20+, for both 50 and 60 Hz operation in NEMA and IEC configurations. Custom engineered designs are suitable for use in every environment and/ or application from general purpose to harsh, severe-duty locations with API 541, API 547, & IEEE-841 compliance where needed. Motors are also available for hazardous locations including explosion proof Division 1, Division 2, & ATEX.

9. Gear motors & Speed Reducers

Planetary gear heads designed for servo applications requiring precision, durability, and long trouble free operation. These are high efficiency gear heads that maximize the power transmission capability. They are designed with low backlash to reduce shock loads in dynamic reversing applications.
